"I may not be the oldest, and I'm certainly not the wisest person around, but one thing I know for certain is that if the Lord leads, it’s best you follow.

Following the passing of Ace, a close friend—or more like a brother—of mine, and in the launching of Ace Hoops shortly thereafter, I’ve experienced a rollercoaster of emotions—pain, excitement, frustration...You name it, I’ve felt it. But watching God open doors for this ministry has truly been amazing. Taking seriously Christ’s Great Commission in the last chapter of Matthew’s Gospel account, we are seeking to go and make disciples of all nations—like Ace did. But this requires learning different languages to speak to different cultures. We believe that basketball is a language, and if we can become fluent, we can impact those who speak it.

That’s it. No magic formula or special equation. As an organization, we’re simply utilizing the gifts and talents God has blessed us with, in this case in the game of basketball, and using them for God’s glory and in transformational, Kingdom-expanding ways. Keeping an open and willing heart, we’re clearing space for God to do His work in us and through us.
